10,012 dengue patients return home in Khulna division
KHULNA, Nov 3, 2019 (BSS) – A total of 10,012 dengue patients of the division have returned home after their recovery, according to an official release of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in Khulna.
A round about 10,726 patients were admitted to the different hospitals in Khulna division since January this year, the release added. As many as 176 dengue patients are now undergoing treatment at different hospitals and clinics of the division, it added.
According to the DGHS, 34 people died of the mosquito-borne tropical disease so far in the division.
A total of 14,383 dengue test kits have been reserved in the division, it added.
Around 44 new dengue patients got admitted to different hospitals in the last 24 hours across the division while 538 dengue patients have been referred to different hospitals in Dhaka city.
Meanwhile, a dengue patient died last night at Khulna Medical College
Hospital(KMCH).
The deceased was identified as Sondha Rani, 55, wife of Md. Jamir Sheikh, residence of Tala upazila in Satkhira
Sondha was admitted to the hospital with dengue fever on October 30th afternoon.
She died last night 1.30am while having treatment at the KMCH, Dr Shailendranath Biswas of KMCH confirmed.
