SC upholds death sentence of ATM Azhar
DHAKA, Oct 31, 2019 (BSS) – The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court
(SC) today upheld death sentence of Jamaat leader ATM Azharul Islam handed
over by International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 for committing crimes against
humanity in 1971.
A four-member apex court bench headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud
Hossain passed the order at around 9.10am.
