Meeting at PMO asks authorities to continue anti-narcotic drive

DHAKA, Oct 30, 2019 (BSS) – A meeting of the Strategic Committee on Narcotics Control was held at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) here today.

The meeting, chaired by PM’s Principal Secretary Md Nojibur Rahman, highlighted the prime minister’s firm stance and “zero tolerance” policy against the drugs.

It asked the authorities concerned to continue the countrywide drive against the narcotics and conduct a massive campaign to create mass awareness against the social menace.

The senior secretaries of the foreign ministry and social welfare ministry, the law secretary, the youth and sports secretary, the directors general of the Directorate of Narcotics Control, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Coast Guards and the additional inspector general of police (admin) and additional IGP (SB) were present at the meeting.
