Army chief hands over regimental colour to corps of engineers
DHAKA, Oct 29, 2019 (BSS) – Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed today
distributed regimental color among four units of Corps of Engineers.
The regimental colour (flag) handover ceremony of Bangladesh Army’s
Engineers’ Corps was held at the Engineer Centre and School of Military
Engineering at Qadirabad Cantonment in Natore.
Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed, also Colonel Commandant Corps of
Engineers’ handed over the regimental colour as the chief guest.
Coprs of Engineers, engineer battalion number 1 and 8 and reverie engineer
battalion number 5 and 7 today took part in the parade and received the
regimental color from the chief guest, said a press release.
According to the military tradition of the army, achieving the regimental
colour for any unit is very glorious. The regimental colour is given to the
units of Bangladesh Army for their special contribution to the service of the
army.
The chief of army staff urged all members of the Corps of Engineers to be
prepared to face any challenges of modern world by acquiring skills through
modern and time-befitting training equipment.
Senior military officials of the army, civil dignitaries, and military and
civil members of the Corps of Engineers, were also present on the occasion.
