JAMALPUR, Oct 29, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Agricultural Development
Corporation (BADC) has allotted 202 tonnes of wheat seed in the current Robi
season in the district.
According to the Seed Marketing, a wing of BADC, four varieties of wheat
seed were allocated to be sold among the farmers through its registered
dealers.
The allocated wheat seeds are BARI-25 variety 60 tonnes certified seed, 41
tonnes Truthfully Level Seed(TLS), BARI-26 variety 63 tonnes certified seed
and 5 tonnes foundation seed, BARI-28 variety 10 tonnes certified seed, 10
metric tonnes TLS, BARI-29 variety 7 metric tonnes certified and 6 metric
tonnes TLS.

Islam Tutul said the price of per kilogram foundation wheat seed is Taka 38
for dealers while Taka 44 for farmers. Besides, per kilogram certified and
TLS wheat seed are Taka 32 in dealer level and Taka 37 in farmer level, he
added.
