World Cup matches to beam live in Robi
DHAKA, May 31, 2018 (BSS) – One of the leading digital service providers of the country, Robi’s sports platform My Sports has received the license for internet and digital broadcaster in Bangladesh from FIFA.
My sports is the only sports platform in the country to have received this license. This license paves the way for Robi and Airtel’s My Sports subscribers to watch the World Cup matches live on their mobile phones.
With proven track record on sports content and copyright management in Bangladesh, Live Media Limited, has exclusively developed and manages My Sports as Robi’s partner for the platform. The announcement came at a press conference held at a city hotel yesterday evening.
Robi and Airtel subscribers can subscribe to My Sports by going to its WAP site: www.mysports.com.bd. Alternatively, they could also download Robi My Sports App from Google Play Store. They can then subscribe to the service from the app.
Along with the live streaming service of the world cup matches on WAP and the My Sports App, the subscribers will get news update on the World Cup as SMS. Subscribers can also listen to the live commentary of the matches using the IVR service. Speaking at the event, Robi’s Managing Director and CEO, Mahtab Uddin Ahmed said: “We are very proud to be able to serve the football mad fans of the country with the ultimate sporting entertainment of the world- FIFA World Cup matches LIVE on their mobile phones.”
Now, you don’t have to be glued to the TV to be in touch with the LIVE match of your favourite team or miss it for untimely electricity load-shedding in your area; as long as you are Robi and Airtel subscribers, you are never away from the football fever throughout this world cup.
