Bangladesh women’s cricket team losses T20 series to Pakistan

DHAKA, Oct 28, 2019 (BSS)- Bangladesh women’s cricket team lost by 15runs to Pakistan in the second T20 Internationals and thereby conceded the three-match series at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore today (Monday).

Earlier, Bangladesh had lost the first match by 14 runs.

Pakistan skipper Bismah Maroof once again led her side from the front, smashing a 50-ball 70 not out with nine fours and one six as the hosts piled up 167-3.

She was ably supported by opener Javeria Khatun who made 52-off 44 with five fours and two sixes.

Jahana Alam of Bangladesh claimed 2-27 but other bowlers couldn’t live up to expectations.

Bangladeshi batters also couldn’t fare well apart from Sanjida Islam who made 45-off 32, sending the ball across the rope eight times. Farjana Haque scored 30.

Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal derailed Bangladeshi innings with 3-19 in her four overs.
