Academic activities launched at BTTI in Hatibandha

RANGPUR, Oct 28, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh-Turkey Technology Institute
(BTTI), located at Barokhata union under Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat
district, launched its academic activities on various technical and
vocational trades on Sunday.

Former State Minister and Member of Parliament from Lalmonirhat-1
(Patgram-Hatibandha) constituency Motahar Hossain inaugurated the academic
activities by cutting ribbon at a function held on BTTI premises as the chief
guest.

Initiated by local entrepreneur and Computer Engineer Iftekhar Hossain
Masud, BTTI has been established as a voluntary organisation for social
welfare with the assistance of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency
(TIKA).

The main objective for setting up the BTTI is producing skilled workforce
through providing training to youths to create job opportunities both at home
and abroad to eliminate unemployment.

Presided over by Engineer Iftekharul Hossain Masud, Coordinator of the
TIKA Dr Ismail Gundoudou attended the function as special guest.

Motahar Hossain said BTTI has been established in collaboration with the
Turkish Co-operation and Co-ordination Agency for eliminating unemployment
through producing skilled manpower.

“I applaud the efforts of BTTI to make the marginalized people as skilled
and efficient workforce through providing them with improved training on
various technical and vocational trades,” he said.

Engineer Masud said the institute began its activities in a pleasant
environment with a dream to do something better for people of the region.

“Hopefully, the organisation will play a leading role in producing skilled
manpower for eliminating unemployment problem in the area,” he said.

“Though BTTI began its journey with launching training courses on computer
and sewing handloom garments, it will start courses on other trades and
subjects soon as per demand of the unemployed youths,” Engineer Masud added.

He said BTTI would continue its sincere efforts to create employment
opportunities for talented youths by making them skilled, efficient and self-
reliant in the near future on way to build a developed Bangladesh by 2041.

Dr Ismail Gundoudou said, “We have come to the people of Bangladesh for
love and brotherhood prevailing among our two friendly countries and will
extend full cooperation to stand beside them for their betterment.”

Singhimari Union Chairman Monwar Hossain Dulu, Head Teacher of Baura Arefa
Khatun Girls’ School Abdus Sattar and Principal of Fakirpara Women’s College
Khalekuzzaman Chayan, were present.

Later, the guests visited the academic activities of BTTI and exchanged
greetings with the students admitted for training there.
