ACC sues Lokman, Selim for amassing illegal wealth
DHAKA, Oct 27, 2019 (BSS) – The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today
filed separate cases against director-in-charge of Mohammedan Sporting Club M
Lokman Hossain Bhuiyan and online casino kingpin Selim Pradhan for amassing
illegal wealth.
ACC Assistant Director Saiful Islam filed the case against Bhuiyan for
acquiring illegal wealth of Taka 4.34 crore while Assistant Director of the
anti-graft body Gulshan Anwar filed the other case against Pradhan for
amassing wealth of Taka 12.27 crore.
Earlier, Rapid Action Battalion arrested Lokman, also a director of
Bangladesh Cricket Board, from his Monipuripara’s residence on September 25,
for running casino in the sporting club.
The elite force arrested Selim from a Bangkok bound flight at Hazrat
Shahjalal International Airport on September 30.
