Law and order meeting held in Jamalpur
JAMALPUR, May 31, 2018 (BSS) – Police administration at a meeting today
exchanged views with local journalist on law and order to mark the upcoming
Eid-ul-Fitar.
The meeting was held at the conference room of the office of
Superintendent of Police.
At the meeting, Superintendent of Police Md Delwar Hossain said
additional police on plain cloth will be deployed in the town to maintain the
law and order ahead of Eid.
He said police also launched drives against drug peddlers and drug
addicts in the district.
Police have so far arrested 2,189 alleged drug peddlers and recovered
huge drugs after the drives began from May 19, he said, adding that the anti-
drug drives will continue.
Assistant Superintendent of Police MA Karim, Officer-in-charge of Jamalpur
sadar police station Md Nasimul Islam and Officer-in-charge of Detective
Branch Salemuzzaman were, among others, present at the meeting.
