RpMP to expand humanitarian activities for distressed people

RANGPUR, Oct 27, 2019 (BSS) – Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP)
Commissioner Abdul Alim Mahmud today called upon voluntary organisation
‘Manobotar Bondhone Rangpur’ to expand its humanitarian activities for
distressed people in the society.

He made the call while presiding over a views-exchange meeting of
‘Manobotar Bondhone Rangpur’ organised by RpMP at its conference room in the
city.

Since inception of the organisation on May 8 this year under initiative of
the RpMP Commissioner, it continues serving foods to fifty distressed people
daily with hygienic and improved diets being donated by different hotels and
restaurants of the city.

The RpMP Commissioner suggested executives and members of ‘Manobotar
Bondhone Rangpur’ to begin providing assistance to the poor and distressed
people for education, medical treatments and meet their other fundamental
needs.

He handed over an auto rickshaw purchased at Taka 1.60-lakh to President
of the organisation and Assistant Police Commissioner (Kotwali Zone) of RpMP
Jamir Uddin and its General Secretary Abdul Mazid Khokan to further expand
its activities.

“I firmly hope that the voluntary organisation would continue to uphold
the values of humanism of the Bangalees by serving the suffering humanity to
ensure their welfare in the society,” Alim added.

Deputy Police Commissioner (Headquarters and Admin) of RpMP Mohidul Islam,
its Deputy Police Commissioner (Crime) Kazi Muttaki Ibnu Minan, Additional
Deputy Police Commissioner (Police Super) of City Special Branch Shamima
Pervin, Additional Deputy Police Commissioner (Crime) Shahidullah Kowsar,
Assistant Police Commissioner (Prosecution) Md Arifuzzaman, other police
officials and leaders and members of Manobotar Bondhone Rangpur’ were
present.
