Rain likely at many places across the country
DHAKA, Oct 26, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)
predicted that rain or thunder showers may occur at many parts of the country
in the next 24 hours commencing at 9am today.
“Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to
occur at most places over Sylhet and Mymensingh divisions; at a few places
over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at one or two
places over Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions with moderately heavy to heavy
falls at places over northeastern part of the country,” said a Met Office
weather bulletin here today.
The low over coastal Odisha and adjoining area now lies over North Bay and
adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh, said the bulletin.
However, the day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the
country.
The highest temperature on Friday was recorded 32.9 degree Celsius in
Teknaf under Chattogram division and the lowest temperature was recorded
18.5 degree Celsius in Tetulia under Rangpur Division today.
Country’s highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded
121 mm (millimeters) at Bogura under Rajshahi division.
The sun sets at 5.24 pm today and rises at 6.02 am tomorrow in the capital.
