DHAKA, Oct 25, 2019 (BSS) – A seminar on “Safe Blood Transfusion in
Bangladesh and Role of Badhan Transfusion Center” was held under the auspices
of Badhan Foundation today at RI Khan Auditorium of Dhaka University (DU).
DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the
seminar as the chief guest.
President of Badhan Foundation Shahidul Islam Ripon presided over the
programme while Director of Dhaka Medical College Hospital Brigadier General
AKM Nasir Uddin and National Co-ordinator of Sheikh Hasina National Institute
of Burn and Plastic Surgery Dr Samanta Lal Sen addressed it as special
guests.
Consultant of Badhan Transfusion Center Prof Dr. Munshi M Habibullah
delivered the keynote paper in this seminar.
Prof Akhtaruzzaman urged the activists and members of Badhan to ensure
quality and safety of blood transfusion.
Mentioning blood transfusion service is an essential component of modern
health care service, the VC stressed the need for involving more students and
volunteers with the activities and services of Badhan.
