DHAKA, Oct 25, 2019 (BSS) – As part of the ongoing drive against the
casinos, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-1 has recovered a huge amount of
liquors and currency in cash while conducted drive at Eastern Diplomatic
warehouse in city’s Gulshan area last night.
A team of the elite force conducted a raid in the warehouse located at
road no-108 and house no-23 at Gulshan-2 around 9.45 pm on Thursday, said RAB
Executive Magistrate Sarwar Alam who led the drive.
“It was an unregistered warehouse which supplied liquors to the casinos in
the capital illegally,” said the magistrate.
Huge chunk of foreign liquors and Bangladeshi currencies in cash have been
recovered during the drive, the official added.
