DHAKA, Oct 25, 2019 (BSS) – A man was killed in a road accident in Hatirjheel area near Rampura bridge in the capital in the early hours of today.
The deceased was identified as Md Amir Hossain, 30, son of late Noor Islam of Chhoto-Manik village under Borhanuddin Thana of Bhola district.
Sub-Inspector (SI) of Hatirjheel Police Station Dipankar Kumar said Hossain, a bus driver by profession, was critically injured when a speedy bus hit him on Hatirjheel-Rampura road around 4.30 am as he was crossing the road.
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries around 6 am today.
The body was kept in DMCH morgue for an autopsy.
