3-day int’l tourism fair begins in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Oct 24, 2019 (BSS) – A three-day international tourism fair
titled ‘Chattogram Travel Mart-2019’ began in the port city today.
Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin inaugurated the
fair as the chief guest at Peninsula Hotel here.
Speaking at the function, Nasir lauded the rules of private sector to
boost tourism by branding eco-tourism and community-based products.
About 20 tourism agencies from home and abroad, including airlines, tour
operators, hotels, resorts, amusement parks and related service providers are
displaying their products and services at the fair orgnaised by the
Bangladesh Monitor, a travel publication.
The fair offers special discounts on air tickets, hotel rooms, tour
packages and other products and services.
Editor of Bangladesh Monitor Kazi Wahidul Alam presided over the inaugural
ceremony while President of Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industries
Mahbubul Alam, Country Manager of Air Arabia Sayed Mubin Rashid, Chief
Commercial Officer of Regent Airways Hanif Zakaria and General Manager of US
Bangla Airlines Shafiqul Islam were present, among others.
