DHAKA, Oct 22, 2019 (BSS) – Planning Minister MA Mannan today urged the authorities concerned to work together to achieve the targets of development by ensuring 100 percent renewable energy in Bangladesh.
“The government, particularly our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, is very active to ensure uninterrupted supply of power and energy for achieving the development goals, Vision-2021 and Vision-2041,” he said, speaking as the chief guest at a seminar on “100 percent Renewable Energy for Bangladesh” at Lakeshore Hotel in the city.
UTS:ISF, World Future Council, CPRD and NCCB Trust jointly organised the seminar. Power Division Senior Secretary Dr Ahmad Kaikaus, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Secretary Abdullah Al Mohsin Chowdhury and Executive Chairman of the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) Md Faruque Hossain attended the seminar as special guests.
Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation(PKSF) Chairman Dr Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad presided over the seminar.
