JASHORE, Oct 22, 2019 (BSS) – A schoolboy was killed as a truck hit him in Natun Khaertola area in the town this morning.
The deceased was identified as Maidul Islam Lion, 13, son of Mahbubur Rahman, hailed from Power House Para in the municipality. He was a class-seven-student at Jashore Daud Pablic School.
Police said, a Jhenidah-bound Truck hit Maidul Islam Lion around 7.30 am in front of regional agricultural research centre on Jashore-Jhenaidah Highway when he was going to school, leaving the schoolboy dead on the spot.
The body was sent to Jashore 250-bed General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Police seized the truck but its driver and helper fled from the spot.
A case was filed with Jashore Model Thana Thana in this connection.
