National Junior (age group) Athletics meet to begin Friday
DHAKA, Oct 20, 2019 (BSS)- The 35th National Junior (age group)
Athletics competition will begin on Friday (October 25) at Bangabandhu
National Stadium.
Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rezaul Karim MP is expected to
inaugurate the two-day meet as the chief guest while Bangladesh Awami League
Youth and Sports Affairs Secretary Harunur Rashid will present as special
guest.
Near about 450 boys’ and girls’ participants from 64 districts, eight
divisions, education boards, Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan and other
institutions from across the country will take part in the two-day meet,
organized by Bangladesh Athletics Federation (BAF).
In this regards, a press conference was held today at conference room of
National Sports Council to provide all the details of the meet.
BAF vice president Tofael Hossain, BAF general secretary advocate Abdur
Rakib (Montu), BAF joint general secretaries Mizanur Rahman, Shamima Saattar
Mimu and BAF executive committee’s members were present at the press
conference.
