DIG Prisons Bazlur Rahid arrested
DHAKA, Oct 20, 2019 (BSS) – The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today arrested Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Prisons Bazlur Rashid here allegedly for amassing illegal wealth and earning Taka 3.08 crore beyond his legal income.
Prior to his arrest, the ACC interrogated the DIG at the ACC headquarters at Segunbagicha and a case was filed against him, said ACC deputy director Pronob Kumar Bhattchariya.
The ACC interrogated Bazlur Rashid and his wife Razzaqun Nahar at its headquarters from this morning to unveil how the DIG made transaction of the money taken as bribes through courier services.
