RU admission tests on October 21, 22
RAJSHAHI, Oct 19, 2019 (BSS) – Admission tests for the first year
honours students under 2019-20 academic session of Rajshahi University (RU)
will be held on October 21 and 22.
This year, 69,383 students will appear in the test against 4,713 seats
including some special quota ones in 58 departments under nine faculties and
two institutes while the number of submitted applications is 78,090.
The admission test will be held in three units instead of the previous
five units this year. A total of 27 departments under the Faculties of
Humanities, Fine Arts, Social Science and Law and Institute of Education and
Research have been incorporated in ‘A’ unit, six departments under the
Business Studies Faculty and Institute of Business Administration in ‘B’ unit
while 25 departments under the faculties of Science, Life and Earth Science
and Agriculture in ‘C’ unit.
RU authorities revealed this information in a press conference ahead of
the admission test at its Senate Building here today.
Prof Provash Kumar Karmaker, Administrator of Public Relations Office,
readout the written paper detailing the process and preparation of the test.
RU Vice-chancellor Prof Abdus Sobhan, Pro-VCs Prof Ananda Kumar Shaha
and Chowdhury Jakaria and Treasurer Prof Mustafizur Rahman Al Arif also spoke
on the occasion.
“We have adopted all sorts of measures to hold the test peacefully and
successfully,” said Prof Abdus Sobhan adding that a mobile court led by an
executive magistrate will remain on on-duty to take legal steps against any
irregularity.
