Girl drowns in Meherpur
MEHERPUR, Oct 19, 2019 (BSS) – A girl child drowned in the Mathabhanga
River at Amtoil village under Gangni upazila of the district today.
The girl was identified as Sumaiya Khatun, 09, daughter of Ekramul Haque,
hailed from the village.
Ekramul Haque said his daughter drowned this noon while taking bathe in
the river, close to their house.
Later, her body was recovered from the river, officer-in-charge (OC) of
Gangni Thana Obaidur Rahman confirmed.
