Being perplexed, BNP plotting against govt: Nasim
NATORE, Oct 19, 2019 (BSS)- Awami League (AL) presidium member Mohammed Nasim today said being perplexed by the development activities of the present government, BNP-Jamaat alliance is plotting against the government from home and abroad.
“The more successful our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, for her development activities of the country; the deeper their (BNP) plot against the government will be. Because the premier is the only obstacle on their way,” he said.
Nasim, also the central 14-party alliance spokesman, stated this while addressing the extended meeting of the district AL as the chief guest at the Nawab Siraj-Ud Dowla Government College auditorium here.
Sheikh Hasina is able to offset all the conspiracies with prudence, he added. Due to far-sighted leadership of the premier, he said, the accused were arrested quickly in the murder of BUET student Abrar Fahad.
She (Hasina) ensured the trial of war criminals, including the killers of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, he said.
Nasim said under the strong leadership of the Prime Minister, unprecedented development has been achieved in the country, adding “The people of the country do not want movement anymore. So, there will be no achievement in the field of politics by waging movements.”
The people will push BNP if the party wants to push the government, so learn from your (BNP) mistakes done in the past, he said, adding that BNP should get ready for the next election.
With District AL President Professor Abdul Quddus, MP, in the chair, the meeting was addressed, among others, by AL Advisory Council Member Professor Saidur Rahman Khan, AL Joint General Secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanak, AL’s Organizing Secretary and State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury and Rajshahi City Corporation Mayor HM Khairuzzaman Liton.
