Abducted boy rescued in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Oct 19, 2019 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 rescued an
abducted minor boy from Rangpur Railway Station area in the city this
afternoon.

“The rescued boy is Md Sajib Islam, 11, son of Majul Haque of Jogdul
village in Birganj upazila of Dinajpur district,” said a press release issued
by Media Officer of RAB-13 Major Galib Muhammad Natikur Rahman.

Earlier, Sajib went missing since the morning on October 17 (Thursday) and
his parents could not find him despite their hectic efforts.

Later, they filed a general diary in this connection with Birganj Thana
Police in Dinajpur.

After filing of the general diary, the elite force started searching for
the abducted boy.

“Finally, members of RAB-13 rescued the boy from Rangpur Railway Station
area this afternoon,” the release said.

However, none of the kidnappers could be arrested as they tactfully managed
to escape from the scene abandoning the abducted boy.

“The elite force handed over the rescued boy to his parents today,” the
release said, adding that investigation into the matter continues to nab the
criminals.
