DHAKA, Oct 17, 2019 (BSS)-Pace bowler Al-Amin Hossain and left-arm
spinner Arafat Sunny made the cut in the national fold after three years as
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a 15-member squad for the three-
match T20 Internationals series against India.

Both of them played last T20 match for Bangladesh during the World T20
in India.

As it is expected, opener Tamim Iqbal who took rest and skipped the one-
off Test against Afghanistan and subsequent Tri-nation T20 series involving
Zimbabwe and Afghanistan will back into the squad.

The day when the team was announced, Tamim sustained a muscle strain
that ruled him out for the second round of National Cricket League (NCL) game
but the team management hoped that he will be okay by the time when the
series starts.

Shakib Al Hasan will lead the side, in which Sabbir Rahman, considered
as T20 specialist was overlooked following his poor return in this format.
Along with Sabbir, Taijul Islam, Abu Haider Rony, Yasin Arafat Mishu, who was
in the last T20 squad for Bangladesh were axed.

The promising player Naim Sheikh kept his place despite not playing any
match in the Tri-nation T20 series along with leg-spin sensation Aminul Islam
Biplob who after his promising debut against Zimbabwe, sustained an injury
and missed rest of the series.

Bangladesh will play their first T20 match against India on November 3
in Delhi. The second and third match is on November 7 and 10 in Rajkot and
Nagpur respectively.

After the T20 series, Bangladesh will play two-match Test series against
India.
