Three of same family die in Ctg cylinder blast
CHATTOGRAM, Oct 17, 2019 (BSS) – Three members of a family were killed and
three others critically injured in gas cylinder explosion of an ambulance in
Chaturi Chowmuhani area under Anowara upazila here this afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Mofizuddin, 70, and his daughters-in-law
Jainab Begum, 26, and Bulbul Akter, 25.
Dulal Mahmud, officer-in-charge of Anowara police station, said the fatal
explosion of gas cylinder took place around 2:30 pm when the ambulance was
carrying patient Mofiz from CMCH.
Two died on the spot and another one died at CMCH, he added.
Three people, including sons of the victim Mofiz Uddin- Sahabuddin and
Nizamuddin were also injured in the explosion.
Alauddin Talukder, sub-inspector of CMCH police out post, told BSS that
Mofizuddin was under treatment at CMHC from where he was released this
morning.
The injured persons were admitted to Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
