Vietnamese envoy pays farewell call on President

DHAKA, Oct 17, 2019 (BSS) – Outgoing Vietnamese Ambassador to Bangladesh Tran Van Khoa paid a farewell call on President M Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban here today.

During the meeting, the President mentioned the existing excellent bilateral relation between Bangladesh and Vietnam, President’s press secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS after the meeting.

The head of the state sought cooperation of Vietnam to raise the safe Rohingya repatriation issue in the next conference of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Recalling the historical ties of friendship between Bangladesh and Vietnam, President Hamid said the existing relation between the two countries would be strengthened in the days to come.

The President thanked the Vietnamese envoy for successful completion of his assignment here.

The outgoing envoy lauded the Bangladesh’s development trend in many sectors, saying that Bangladesh could be an example of tremendous development globally.

“Any country can utilise the experience of Bangladesh for their development,” he added.
