University student dies in city road accident
DHAKA, Oct 17, 2019 (BSS) – A university student was killed and two others
were injured in a road accident on Mayor Mohammad Hanif Flyover in the city
early today.
The deceased identified as Kamruzzaman Asif, 24, was a MBA student of
Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology in the capital.
Confirming the matter to BSS, Sub-Inspector of Wari Police Station Abul
Kalam Azad said the accident took place when the motorcycle carrying them
collided with the island of the flyover near RAB-3 office around 2:30am as
Asif lost control over the bike, leaving them critically injured.
Being informed by locals, police took them to the Dhaka Medical College
Hospital (DMCH) where Asif succumbed to his injuries, he added.
Injured Sohel, 29, and Khadiza Akhter, 24, are undergoing treatment at
National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation and DMCH
respectively.
The body was kept in DMCH morgue for an autopsy.
The process of filing a case is underway till filing of this report.
