DHAKA, Oct 16, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hassan today assured the journalists of providing all-out cooperation to solve their problems.
He came up with this assurance when senior journalists and heads of the news of different private television channels made a courtesy call on him at his secretariat office here.
Giving a patient hearing to various problems of the journalists, Dr Murad said, “I will try my level best to solve your problems, including irregular payment of salary, termination of journalists from different media houses.”
He sought all-out cooperation of journalists in this regard, adding, “I am trying to perform the responsibility Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given me, I want to prove my capability through work with honesty.”
The senior journalists informed the state minister about the problems they are facing in their respective offices and sought cooperation of the state minister to overcome the problems.
Chief News Editor of ATN Bangla Joy-e-Mamun, head of the news of Ekattor TV Shakil Ahmed and senior news editor of Boishakhi TV Siaful Islam were present at the meeting, among others.
