Minimum Fitra fixed at Taka 70
DHAKA, May 30, 2018 (BSS) – This year’s Fitra has been fixed at the minimum amount of Taka 70 per person while the maximum Taka 2,310.
Islamic Foundation today fixed the amounts at a meeting chaired by Maulana Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, senior Pesh Imam of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque and president of the National Fitra Fixing Committee.
The minimum and maximum rates of Fitra have been set taking into account the market prices of flour, dates and other relevant food items.
Fitra can be given in cash or kind, said a press release of Islamic Foundation.
