BSC earns net profit of Tk.55.23 cr
CHATTOGRAM, Oct 15. 2019 (BSS)- Bangladesh Shipping Corporation(BSC), the lone state owned ocean going vessel management authority has earned a net profit of Tk55.23 crore in 2018-19 fiscal which is Tk.12.55 crore more than the previous fiscal (2017-18).
Following the joining of six new vessels into its fleet, the organization’s income has enhanced, the board members of BSC said.
This was disclosed at the 302nd board meeting of BSC at BSC Bhaban in the port city today.
State Minister for Shipping and chairman of the Board of Directors of BSC Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury presided over the board meeting.
The board meeting approved the audit report for 2018-19 and appointment of an Audit firm for the current year.
The meeting also discussed the incoming AGM and finalisation of dividend among shareholders and the profit bonus for the officials and workers of the corporation. The meeting unanimously finalized November 24 next for holding the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
