Seminar on cyber security held at BIBM
DHAKA, Oct 15, 2019 (BSS) – An awareness seminar on “Cyber Security-First Responder: Threat Detection and Response” was held today at the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM) in its auditorium here.
Banking Reforms Advisor of Bangladesh Bank (BB) Shitangshu Kumar Sur Chowdhury inaugurated the seminar while Professor and Director (Training) of BIBM Dr Shah Md Ahsan Habib delivered the welcome address.
BIBM and Digisec Council jointly organised the awareness seminar.
A good number of participants, including senior bank executives, academicians, media representatives, faculty members of BIBM, took part in the awareness seminar.
Shitangshu Kumar Sur Chowdhury said, threat detection and response is about utilizing data analytics to find threats across large and disparate data sets, find anomalies, analyze their threat level and determine what mitigate actions may be required in response.
“Tools used for threat detection and response are designed to collect and analyze forensic data while being configured to monitor and manage security threats,” he added.
Supernumerary Professor of BIBM and Former Managing Director of Pubali Bank LimitedHelal Ahmed Chowdhury, among others, were present at the seminar.
