Casino owners are opportunists: Menon
GAZIPUR, October 14, 2019 (BSS) – Workers Party President Rashed Khan Menon today said those who run casinos are opportunists as they intruded into political parties to grasp power and money.
“Those who run casinos are loan defaulters. They intruded into parties to get benefits of power,” he told the council session of the Gazipur district unit of Workers Party at Bangataj auditorium in the city.
Menon, also a former minister, said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has started cleanliness drive to uproot the wrongdoers from society.
He said the premier has been turned into a symbol of development in the world but the benefits of the development are not reaching to all people because of the wrongdoers.
Workers Party Politburo Member Mahmudul Hasan Manik, Sramik League Gazipur City Unit President Abdur Rashid, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal Gazipur City Unit General Secretary Rashedul Islam Rana and Gonotantri Party District Unit President Monoj Kumar Goswami addressed the function, among others, attended the programme.
Worker Party Gazipur District unit President Abdul Majid chaired it.
