KHULNA, Oct 14, 2019 (BSS) – Speakers at a programme today advised parents
to teach their children about patriotism as well as moral values so that they
can build themselves as good human beings and work for the development of the
nation.
They said the basic education of the children should be given from the
family and their basic rights need to be ensured. Parents, families and
society should play a responsible role to establish their rights. Everyone
have to work together for the development of children.
They also advised parents to be aware of what their child is doing so that
they cannot be derailed and involved in anti-social activities.
They came up with the observations while addressing an award-giving
ceremony on the occasion of the World Children’s Day and Child Rights Week-
2019 on the premises of Shishu Academy here.
District Shishu Academy organised the programme in collaboration with
Khulna district administration, Department of Women Affairs and Shishu
Shurokkha Jote.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Ziaur Rahman attended the
programme as the chief guest and distributed the prizes among the winners.
Deputy Director of District Women Affairs Nargis Fatema Jamin, Executive
Magistrate Rakibul Hasan, representative of Shishu Shurokkha Jote Masudur
Rahman, child journalist Istat Jahan Lopa, among others, spoke on the
occasion.
