Humayun asks officials to work with highest professionalism
DHAKA, Oct 14, 2019 (BSS) – Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud
Humayun today asked officials of the Bangladesh Standards and Testing
Institution (BSTI) to work with the highest professionalism and honesty.
“Officials of the BSTI will have to work with the highest integrity,
professionalism and patriotism. The government will take necessary action for
any kind of illegal activities,” he said.
The minister said this while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion
on “Video Standards Create a Global Stage”, marking the ‘World Standards Day-
2019’, at the BSTI in the city, said a press release.
Additional Secretary of the Industries Ministry Salahuddin Mahmud
presided over the function while BSTI Director General Md Muazzem Hossain and
BSTI Director (Standard) Md Sazzadul Bari spoke on the occasion.
Humayun said the government is formulating necessary law, policy and
rules for increasing the capacity of BSTI as it is the only institution for
maintaining standard of products.
He informed that BSTI services will be expanded at the upazila level for
fulfilling the confidence of all people.
