Programmes taken to observe community policing day in Khulna
KHULNA, Oct 14, 2019 (BSS) – A day-long programme has been taken to
observe ‘Community Policing Day-2019’ scheduled to be held on October 26 in
the city in a befitting manner.
A view-exchange meeting was held today (Monday) to observe the day a
total success at Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) headquarter with its
commissioner Lutful Kabir in the chair.
The programmes include a colourful rally, discussion meeting, cake
cutting, art, debate and essay competition, blood donation, charity football
match and cultural function. Prize will be distributed among winners while
certificates and honour crest to be given among best two members of city’s
south and east unit community policing for their outstanding performances.
Additional Inspector General of Police (Admin and Operation) Moinur
Rahman Chowdhury is expected to attend the function as the chief guest.
While addressing the meeting the KMP boss Lutful Kabir said ‘Community
Policing Day’ was observed last Saturday on October from 2017 across the
country, pledging to establish terrorism, militancy, stalking, drug and child
marriage free society.
Additional deputy police commissioner Sarder Rakibul Islam, president
and general secretary of Khulna city community police Dr Kamrul Islam and
Sayed Ali addressed the meeting, among others.
