REMAND-ACCUSED-MURDER-ABRAR
Two more remanded in Abrar murder trial
DHAKA, Oct 13, 2019 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today placed two more accused on
five-day remand in a case lodged over beating BUET student Abrar Fahad to
death at the wee hours of October 7.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mamunur Rashid passed the order as
investigation officer and detective branch inspector Md Wahiduzzaman produced
Shamim Billah and Moayej Abu Hurayrah before court and pleaded to place them
on 10-day remand.
Students of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and
its authorities found Abrar, 22, in critical condition from first-floor
stairs of Sher-e-Bangla Hall and rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital
(DMCH), where doctors declared him dead at around 6.30 am on October 7.
Abrar’s father filed the case with Chawkbazar Police Station against 19
people.
