Digitised devices innovation paves way to build digital Bangladesh

RANGPUR, Oct 13, 2019 (BSS) – People are getting different government and
civic services in quickest possible time at their doorsteps thanks to
innovation of digitised devices and technologies, making the way to build a
developed digital Bangladesh.

Government officials expressed the view at concluding function of the
‘Exhibition of innovative pilot projects in reaching civic services and
workshop’ held at conference room of the Deputy Commissioner in the city on
Saturday afternoon.

The district administration organised the event exhibiting ten newer
digital innovations by 10 youths followed by the workshop with assistance of
the Access to Information (a2i) Program of the Prime Minister’s Office and
ICT Division.

Deputy Commissioner Md. Asib Ahsan attended the events and distributed
certificates and medals for best innovations among three innovators as the
chief guest.

With Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-Education and ICT) Shukria Pervin
in the chair, ADC (General) Syed Enamul Kabir, ADC (Revenue) Sharif Md.
Foyzul Karim, Additional District Magistrate Arafat Rahman and Additional
Police Super Maruf Elahi addressed the event as special guests.

Officials of the district and upazila administrations, ten youth
innovators, youth entrepreneurs of union digital centres and journalists were
present.

The speakers said the Vision 2021 as envisioned by Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina has given the nation concrete direction of building a middle income
country by 2021 on way to build a developed Bangladesh by 2041 next.

They said an effective digital system has already been built using ICT and
digitised innovations in reaching government services to common people and
providing science and ICT- based education to young generations.

The chief guest said the innovations exhibited in the day-long event would
inspire other educated youths to follow their footsteps in innovating newer
digitised devices.

“By virtue of digitisation and innovation of newer digitised devices,
people are getting government and civic services in a hassle free manner as
digitisation has already become an effective tool in curbing corruption and
establishing accountability,” he added.
