Mukundalal Sarker’s 40th death anniversary tomorrow

DHAKA, Oct 12, 2019 – The 40th death anniversary of Mukundalal Sarker, a
prominent leader of anti-British Movement and a war veteran of 1971 will be
observed tomorrow (Sunday).

In observance of the day, special prayers will be offered and a discussion
will be held in the evening tomorrow (Sunday) at the Dhanmondi residence
(Flat# 01-B, House# 25, Road#32) of Sree Sarker’s younger son senior
journalist Ajit Kumar Sarkar.

His second son Manaindra Nath Sarker, editor of the Education Today and
columnist, third son Subash Sarker, General Manager of M R Engineering and
Ajit Kumar Sarker have requested all to pray for salvation of the departed
soul of their father.

Sree Sarker was born in 1909 at Dharmaryer Bari Village under Muksedpur
Upazila of Gopalgonj district. Sree Sarker was imprisoned under defense of
Pakistan rule in 1965. He was very close to Hussain Shaheed Suhurawardy,
Sher-e- Bangla A. K. Fazlul Huq, Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani and Father
of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
