DHAKA, Oct 11, 2019 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today arrested
Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Ward-32 Councilor Habibur Rahman Mizan
from Sreemangal upazila of Maulvibazar district for his alleged involvement
in the casino business.
“As part of the ongoing casino operation against corruption, an elite
force of RAB arrested him in a drive in front of Hamida Residential Guest
House on Guho road in Sreemangal area this morning,” RAB sources said.
According to the RAB, Mizan is the ward councilor of Mohammadpur area in
Dhaka and former Awami League general secretary of Mohammadpur Thana.
He was secretly trying to flee to India, the sources added.
The filing of the case in this connection is underway with the concerned
police station.
