CHATTOGRAM, Oct 10, 2019 (BSS) – City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin called upon all service oriented agencies to discharge duties in a transparent and honest manner for implementing development projects.
He said this while addressing the Project steering committee and City Project Board Orientation meeting of Livelihood Improvement of Urban Communities Project as chief guest.
The city mayor in his brief deliberation said under this project the fate of one lakh five thousand people of remote areas will change.
Nasir said, small traders, student scholarship, technical training in different disciplines will come under the project.
It is learnt that a Tk.900 crore fund under the Local Government Ministry has been allocated for the purpose to 35 cities and towns of the country including Chattogram.
CCC Chief Executive officer Mohammad Shamshuddoha, Chief Engineer Lt. Colonel Sohel Ahmed, Acting secretary of CWASA Dr. Pijush Dutta, Divisional Director of Health Syed Kamrul Anwar, CCC chief health officer Dr. Selim Akhter Chowdhury, among others, were present at the meetin6g.
