RAB files two cases against Samrat
DHAKA, Oct 7, 2019 (BSS)-Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today filed two
separate cases against expelled Jubo League leader Ismail Hossain Chowdhury
Samrat with Ramna Police Station under Firearms and Narcotics Control Acts.
RAB also filed another case against Enamul Haque Arman, an accomplice of
Samrat, with the same police station, said RAB’s legal and media wing
director Sarwar Bin Quashem.
Abdul Khalek, deputy assistant director of RAB-1 filed the case, said OC of
Ramna Police Station Kazi Mainul Islam.
“All evidence of the cases was handed over to us and we will take steps
after investigation,” said the OC.
Immediately after the arrest of Samrat and Arman from Cumilla on Sunday,
Jubo League expelled them from the party for their involvement in anti-social
activities and breaking the party’s discipline.
A RAB mobile court sentenced Samrat to six months in jail for possessing
wild animal hides and another six months for possessing liquor. Samrat was
sent to Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj Sunday.
