Bangladesh SC, Mariners, notch victory in premier hockey
DHAKA, May 29, 2018 (BSS)- Bangladesh Sporting Club and Mariners Youngs’ Club won their respective matches of the Green Delta Insurance Premier Division Hockey League held on Tuesday at Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium.
In the day’s first match, Bangladesh SC dumped Police Hockey Club by 9-1. Thanks to a four goals feat of the stick of Sajib Hossain.
Apart from Sajib’s four goals, Indian recruit Gurjeet Singh scored a brace while Jogindar Singh and Rubel Hossain netted one goal each for Bangladesh.
While Jamil Bin Talib netted the lone goal for Police.
In the day’s second match, Mariners Young Club defeated Abahani Limited by 5-1 goals.
In the day’s match, Moinul Islam Koushik struck twice while Mohammad Julhairi, Puskar Khisa Mimo and Nayeem Uddin scored one goal each for Mariners while Indian recruit Baljeet Singh netted the lone goal for the losers.
