CHATTOGRAM, OCT 2, 2019 (BSS)- Chattogram District Administration, in a
drive, seized five tonnes of hidden onion from MS iron and cement godown at
Hathazari municipality of the district this afternoon .
A mobile court led by Mohammad Ruhul Amin, upazila nirbahi officer (UNO)
of Hathazari, conducted a raid in the area and recovered the onion.
Ruhul Amin said a businessman named Amir Hossain imported those onion from
India on September 11 last and stored in a cement godown aimed at creating
artificial crisis of onion in the area.
Legal action will be taken against the trader after investigation, the UNO
added.
