‘Joutirman’ unveiled at IU
ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, Oct 1, 2019 (BSS) – Shapla Forum, an alliance of progressive teachers of Islamic University (IU, unveiled ‘Joutirman’, a souvenir on Bangabandhu’s autobiography, here today.
Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari unveiled the souvenir as the chief guest in a meeting of the forum held at Birshrestha Hamidur Rahman auditorium on the campus in the afternoon.
IU pro vice-chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman and treasure Prof Dr M Selim Toha addressed here as special guests with Prof Dr Rizuanul Islam, president of the organisation in the chair.
Over 100 teachers of the alliance were present at the event conducted by its general secretary Prof Dr M Mahbubar Rahman.
Earlier, Shapla Forum arranged a tree plantation programme near the auditorium.
