Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Research Institute to be established at DU
DHAKA, Sept 30, 2019 (BSS) – A research institute titled “Bangabandhu
Sheikh Mujib Research Institute for Peace and Liberty” will be established at
Dhaka University (DU) marking Bangabandhu’s birth centenary.
The decision was taken at a syndicate meeting on Sunday with DU Vice-
Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md. Akhtaruzzaman in the chair, said a press
release today.
A seven-member committee was also formed for the establishment of the
institute with Pro-VC (Academic) Professor Nasreen Ahmad as the convener of
the committee.
The syndicate also decided to open two offices titled “Dhaka University
Technology Transfer Office” and “Office of the International Affairs”.
