FENI, Sept 30, 2019 (BSS) – A court in Feni today fixed October 24 for
delivering its verdict on murder of Feni madrasa student Nusrat Jahan Rafi.
Judge Mamunur Rashed of Women and Child Repression Prevention Tribunal fixed
the date this afternoon.
All 16 accused of the sensational murder case were present before the
court while fixing date for delivering the verdict. Besides, the court recorded
statements of 87 witnesses, the court sources said.
Nusrat lost her battle for life at the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital
(DMCH) on April 10, five days after she was ablaze.
Nusrat, a student of Sonagazi Islamia Senior Fazil Madrasa, was set ablaze
on April 6 allegedly for refusing to withdraw a case filed against the
principal of Sonagazi Islamia Senior Fazil Madrasa for sexually harassing her.
