Plastic makers will get separate land in Chemical Palli: Humayun
DHAKA, Sept 30, 2019 (BSS) – Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun today said the government will allocate separate land for the plastic sector in the Chemical Palli.
“The government is setting up Chemical Palli in Munshiganj district. The government will give the opportunity to the plastic makers to reallocate their industries form old Dhaka area. At the same time, the government will give all sorts of policy supports to the industries,” he said.
The minister said this while meeting with newly elected executive committee of the Bangladesh Plastic Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BPGMEA) at the Industries Ministry in the city, said a press release.
Humayun said the government is working to relocate the plastic factories of the old Dhaka area at a safe place. So, the government is implementing the plastic city project under the instruction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he added.
BPGMEA newly elected president Md Jashim Uddin, Senior Vice President Gias Uddin Ahmed and Vice President KM Iqbal Hossain, among others, were present on the occasion.
