Light to moderate rain likely
DHAKA, May 29, 2018 (BSS)-Light to moderate rain or thundershowers
accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind and lightning flashes are
likely to occur at some places across the country in 24-hours ending 9 am
tomorrow.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty
or squally wind and lightning flashes are likely to occur at a few places
over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Chattogram divisions,” said a met
bulletin issued this morning here.
Moreover, one or two places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet
divisions may see rain or thundershowers in 24 hours commencing 9 am today,
the bulletin added.
Yesterday’s low over East Central Bay and adjoining area intensified into a
well marked low. Now lies over East-central Bay and adjoining Northeast Bay
as it is likely to intensify further, it continued.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The maximum temperature was recorded 36.2 degrees Celsius yesterday at
Satkhira in Khulna division and today’s minimum temperature 21.0 degrees
Celsius at Tarash and Tetulia in Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions respectively.
The highest 52 mm rainfall was recorded at Tarash in Rajshahi division in
last 24 hours ending 6 am today.
The sun sets at 6:41 pm today and rises at 5:12 am tomorrow in the capital.
