DHAKA, Sept 29, 2019 (BSS) – A probe committee of University Grants
Commission (UGC) today submitted its report to UGC Chairman Prof Kazi
Shahidullah over alleged complaints of corruption, irregularities and moral
degradation against Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology
University (BSMRSTU) Vice Chancellor Prof Khondoker Nasiruddin.
Members of the committee Prof Dr Dil Afroza Begum, Professor Dr Sazzad
Hossain, Public University Management Division director Md Kamal Hossain and
deputy director Mouli Azad were present during handing over of the report,
said a UGC press release here today.
Earlier, a five-member committee headed by UCG member Dr Muhammad Alamgir
was formed to investigate the matter following the students’ demonstration at
the university.
The committee members visited the campus on September 25 and 26 and talked
to the VC, teachers, staff and students before preparing the report. The
probe report has been submitted to the Education ministry.
